Prepare for liftoff in Asia!

Profile founder – Mark Swift, and Director – Graham Robson are to launch Profile’s App based recruitment platform at the Philippine Merchant Marine Academy Symposium on Strategic Maritime Challenges in Subic Bay, Philippines on April 7th, 2017.

Profile, has developed an online platform directly connecting hiring managers, candidates and training providers in real time at point of need to be used by individuals and organisations operating in the marine and offshore oil & gas industries. The platform allows users to maintain up-to-date records of their professional certifications, which are a vital part of their employability.
The Profile platform has been designed to address the inefficiencies in the current model of recruiting, aiming to shorten recruitment cycle time, improve candidate matching and save costs in sectors requiring high level certification and involving fast turnaround contracts.

More than 30% of the 1.6 million mariners in the world are Filipino making the Philippines the manning capital of the world.

Mark said “we are honoured to be invited to present Profile at this prestigious maritime industry symposium and recognise the significance of the Philippine maritime community and its role in the international shipping industry.”

Who are PMMA?

The Philippine Merchant Marine Academy (PMMA) is the only premier state maritime institution in the Philippines. PMMA offers merchant marine related degree courses, as well as short term training and re-training of marine officers and ratings seamen.

PMMA midshipmen are government scholars, who are provided free tuition fee, board and lodging and have an assured shipboard training onboard international vessels during their third year with corresponding stipend. Upon graduation, PMMA midshipmen are assured of 100% employment rate and are the usual choice and preference of major global shipping and manning companies for assignment to International Ocean going vessels as deck officers and engineers.

PMMA midshipmen are selected from all over the Philippines through a rigid selection process. Out of average examinees of 6,400 about 5% successfully pass the different stages of the screening process and subsequently take their oath as full-fledged PMMA midshipmen.

Join the PMMA and experience quality education and boundless opportunities.
